Choices are made in the moment.

The twilight, sky masked by clouds of an impending storm.

The pause before the audience applauds after the performance.

The breath before the jump.

The in-between.

The moment.

This thing so feared,

so anticipated

so missed

. . .forgotten

This is, in fact, the only thing we as humans can take hold of. This is the only opportunity we have to do something.

Five minutes ago? Gone.

Tomorrow? Not promised.

I recently came to the understanding of this: today is all we have.

But even ‘today’s cannot be held or even correctly calculated.

All you have, I have, is right now.

What will you do with it?
